Maternity Milk Bath Boudoir

Ever wondered what it would be like to relax and lay around while having your images taken? Would you like to feel like you had a day at the spa? Try a milk bath session! I especially love this option when it comes to maternity sessions. It incorporates a little symbolism of that moment in a mama’s life and has just enough sensual flair to it to create a perfectly romantic, emotional look.

Anthony + Esme: The Perfection of Pregnancy

This couple could not have brought the heat any more than they did.

The love in their eyes for one another, their body chemistry, that sunset over the ancient lava rock, the sound of the waves crashing against the walls and that STUNNING baby belly all worked together like a puzzle of perfection. The perfection of pregnancy.

Rose Family: Party of Four

I always ensure that sessions are unique. The way each one is styled, the location and the couple makes a session their very own. Adding in the element of excitement which comes from a gender reveal session makes those sessions stand apart from the rest. The best part of it all? I can’t control the emotions, just capture them.

The Rose family gender reveal was no exception.

They handed me two colors of leis; two blue and two pink. Silently, I read which gender the doctor had written on a note and ensured their eyes were closed. I then handed them the blue leis. They each had fun placing the leis on one another. Making them do this with their eyes closed made it a little more interesting but also allowed me to capture the best of smiles. The excitement which followed gave the camera a show.

This couple already has made a wonderful family of three, I can only imagine the happiness which will come from the Rose family, party of four.

I wish this family all the best in the last weeks before they meet little brother.

John Max: A Year Of Memories

When I started Lifesong, my hope was to not only witness milestones, but capture them. I didn’t know how this would feel until the Bulow’s entered my life. It all started with a maternity session on South Shore.

Then, since John Max’s birth, I was asked to be there for each milestone.

At six months, we spent some time at Hickam Beach, for a very nice sunset. He was able to sit with a little assistance but was happiest in mommy and daddy’s arms. His smile light up the evening sky.

At nine months we took John Max to the Ford Island fields, where he adventured on his hands and knees. He stood briefly to show off his handsome eyes to the camera. The day was hot but he was a trooper!

Then, for his twelve month session, we let him roam free amongst the coffee trees on North Shore. Even though he was up before the dawn, his signature smile was in full effect. His fast feet and expressions made for a wonderful early-morning session!

After being there for all these milestones, I am sad to now be saying “Aloha” to this family. The support they showed my small business and the love in which they spoke about my art will never be forgotten. Mahalo Bulow’s. Best wishes and A Hui Hou!
